On the day before the matches begin, team managers from all participating countries gathered for the Team Manager Meeting! Referees led the session, explaining the tournament schedule, rules, and important notes while referring to printed materials—a familiar scene in any international competition.

But this time, it’s a U16 event. Many of the players are still early in their international careers, with some visiting Asia for the very first time. Even though the meeting was just for team managers, there was a warm, supportive atmosphere in the room—everyone united in helping these young players grow, no matter which country they come from.

Then came the much-anticipated draw!

Seeded players were placed in predetermined spots based on BWF rankings and other data, followed by the exciting lottery draw.

Sixteen players—four each from Europe, Oceania/North America, Asia, and Japan—were assigned into four qualifying groups.

About 30 minutes later, the draw was complete!

Tomorrow, the qualification rounds begin.

What kind of drama will unfold in the opening matches? Anticipation is in the air!
