Lights On! The Venue Shifts Into Full Tournament Mode – Day 2 Setup Report

Last night, the court mats were successfully laid out, and setup is progressing smoothly!

Today marks the beginning of one of the key elements of venue presentation: lighting installation.

At the center of the gymnasium ceiling, lights are being swiftly mounted onto the “badon” truss system, bringing the stage to life and setting the tone for a more dramatic match experience.

Around each court, colorful sponsor advertising boards are being placed, adding a vibrant atmosphere and transforming the venue into full tournament mode.

Wait a minute—

“Isn’t the Denroku logo usually orange on a white background?”

Good catch!

In fact, under international tournament regulations, the so-called “A-boards” (named after their A-like shape), which are placed around the court, must limit the use of white or light colors to less than 20% of the design. This rule ensures that athletes’ visibility is not compromised during matches.

That’s why all sponsor boards in this tournament have been redesigned with darker backgrounds, following the official standards. So keep an eye out for these “tournament edition” logos—you might spot some subtle but interesting differences!
